We are one of the only Krav Maga schools in the world that focus on Brazilian and Japanese Jiu Jitsu. And we do it without a Gi. No Gi Jiu Jitsu is the future. Specifically, because there is only no gi competition in mixed martial arts and in the UFC, And because Krav street techniques like Eye gouging, Bas Rutten style head butts, and groin strikes that can counter front side gi chokes, there is almost no reason to practice with a Gi, Outside of curiosity and expansion of your technical understanding. We here at Fightden Mma also teach Gi chokes in our syllabus, but because we are a no gi school, We only go over these techniques for about one week per year. Our goal is to develop top Submission Grappling champions and mixed martial arts competitors, so we focus on No Gi Jiu-Jitsu and combat Jiu Jitsu.
We also support and practice rubber guard techniques discovered by Eddie Bravo. We are non-affiliated, but I strongly recommend all martial artists who practice self-defence and Jiu-Jitsu, to practice rubber guard. Just because Eddie Bravo is an eccentric character who believes the world is flat, does NOT mean there is illegitimacy to his Jiu-Jitsu technique. Similar to Shinya Aoki, We believe it is an important chapter to master and all of our grappling ana Mma students will be learning about rubber guard along with all other submissions and sweeps from our No Gi Jiu Jitsu syllabus.
